Plants P₁,P₂,P₃ supply (15,25,10) units to markets M₁,…,M₄ demanding (10,10,10,20). Cost rows are P₁:(1,3,1,3),P₂:(2,2,4,1),P₃:(2,1,1,2). Find the Northwest-corner initial solution cost.

Correct answer: 105 to 105
Explanation
Starting at the northwest cell gives allocations P₁M₁=10,P₁M₂=5,P₂M₂=5,P₂M₃=10,P₂M₄=10,P₃M₄=10. They satisfy all supplies and demands. Cost=10×1+5×3+5×2+10×4+10×1+10×2=**105**.
