Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) Prokaryotes lack a nucleus; eukaryotes have a nucleus.; (C) No binary fission occurs in eukaryotes; prokaryotes rely on binary fission.

Explanation

A correctly distinguishes membrane-bound nuclei. Prokaryotic binary fission is the usual introductory contrast with eukaryotic mitosis, so the official answer is **A, C**. C’s absolute wording is biologically too broad: some unicellular eukaryotes, such as protozoa, reproduce by binary fission involving mitosis. Retain official grading while recognizing that exception; B is false and D is not a universal statement.
