GATE 2013 CS (CS1) – Question 35
For undirected graphs, P: The number of odd-degree vertices is even. Q: The sum of all vertex degrees is even. Which hold?

Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (C) Both
Explanation
The degree sum equals twice the edge count, so Q is true. Even-degree vertices contribute an even sum; therefore the number of odd contributions must also be even, proving P. Both statements hold, C.
