GATE 2010 CS (CS1) – Question 15
Evaluate $\lim_{n\to\infty}(1-1/n)^{2n}$.
Practise this question in The GATE Grind →
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (B) $e^{-2}$
Explanation
The standard limit is $(1-1/n)^n\to e^{-1}$. Squaring gives the requested e⁻², B. Equivalently logarithms give 2n·log(1−1/n)→−2.
