Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) Binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosome.

Explanation

Tetracycline binds the bacterial small ribosomal subunit and blocks productive entry of aminoacyl-tRNA into the A site. This prevents addition of the next amino acid. Select D; translocation and peptide-bond formation are different mechanistic steps targeted by other antibiotic classes.
