Correct answer: (C) Total solids=suspended+dissolved solids
Explanation
Analytical total solids are partitioned into suspended and dissolved solids, C. Colloids are not an additional third mass to add independently to those operational fractions. BOD and COD measure oxygen-demand equivalents, so they cannot be added to dissolved oxygen to define total gases.
