A city’s 2021 sex ratio is 930 females per 1000 males and is expected to increase 2.16% over 20 years. Projected 2041 population is 1500000. Find female population, as an integer.

Correct answer: 730500 to 731200
Explanation
Projected ratio is 930×1.0216=950.088 females per 1000 males. Therefore female share is 950.088/(1000+950.088). Multiply by 1500000 to obtain approximately 730804 women. Rounding the projected ratio first to 950 gives 730769; both lie in the official range. A sex ratio is not the female percentage of the total.
