Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) ranks one of the leading causes of death

Explanation

The subject is "tuberculosis", which is singular, and the phrase "together with its effects" does not make it plural. So the verb must be singular. Among the singular options, "ranks" is the most direct and effective wording.
