Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) Wheedle - Roundabout

Explanation

Acquiescence and submission both mean accepting without protest, flippancy and lightness both mean a lack of seriousness, and profligate and extravagant both mean wasteful. "Wheedle" means to coax or flatter someone into doing something, while "roundabout" means indirect, so they are not synonyms.
