Correct answer: (B) (i) wasn't (ii) Even (iii) was (iv) Only

Explanation

Prof. P was more than a story-teller, so the first blank is "wasn't" and the next sentence, which adds more, starts with "Even" ("Even in his blackest moments he was capable of self-deprecating humor"). Prof. Q hardly told funny stories, so the third blank is "was", and the inverted order "was he able" goes with "Only" ("Only in his blackest moments was he able to find humor"). The sequence is wasn't, Even, was, Only.
