Which of the following heat treatment processes is/are used for surface hardening of steels?

Correct answer: (A) Carburizing; (B) Cyaniding; (D) Carbonitriding

Explanation

Carburising, cyaniding and carbonitriding add carbon (and nitrogen) to the surface layer to harden it. Annealing softens the whole steel.
