Correct answer: (B) One of my sons
Explanation
Count the people. Males: the speaker's side of the couple (1), 2 sons and 2 grandsons make 5, so exactly 1 more male is in the family, the husband of a daughter. Females: the other spouse (1), 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters make 6, so 2 more are the wives of the sons. Therefore both sons are married and one daughter is married, and the unmarried eldest child is a daughter. The married daughter is the younger one, and she has only the single-child grandson. The remaining 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters belong to the two sons. That grandson is not a single child, so his father has at least one daughter as well. The sons' children are therefore split as (grandson with 1 daughter, other son with 2 daughters), (grandson with 2 daughters, other son with 1 daughter) or (grandson with 3 daughters, other son with none). In each case one of the sons has at least two daughters. So one of the sons necessarily has two daughters.
