Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) (i) is grammatically correct and (ii) is ambiguous

Explanation

**Sentence (i):** "Everybody in the class is prepared for the exam."
*Everybody* is a singular indefinite pronoun, so it takes the singular verb *is*. The sentence is **grammatically correct**.

**Sentence (ii):** "Babu invited Danish to his home because he enjoys playing chess."
The pronoun *he* could refer to Babu or to Danish. Since the reader cannot tell who enjoys playing chess, the sentence is **ambiguous**.

So (i) is correct and (ii) is ambiguous: option **C**.
