Correct answer: (D) P = Magnanimous; Q = Vindictive
Explanation
**Find the relation.** "Charity : P" pairs an act with the kind of person inclined to do it: charity is what a **generous** person does.
**Apply it.** Retaliation is an act of paying back a harm, which is what a **vindictive** (revenge-seeking) person does.
- **Parsimonious** means stingy, the opposite of charitable. ✗
- **Altruistic / amicable:** both are positive; *amicable* is not tied to retaliation. ✗
- **Resentful / spiteful:** these are two similar negative traits, not an act-and-person pair. ✗
- **Magnanimous / vindictive:** charity goes with a magnanimous (generous) person, and retaliation with a vindictive one. ✓
Answer **P = Magnanimous; Q = Vindictive** (D).
