Correct answer: (D) 16:45

Explanation

Take $p=16$. The first ratio gives $q=32$; the second gives $r=24$; the third gives $s=30$. Since u is 50% more than s, $u=45$.

Therefore $p:u=\mathbf{16:45}$, **D**.
