Rainfall intensity is 3.5 cm/h and φ-index is 1.5 cm/h. Effective rainfall intensity is ______ cm/h.

Explanation

Effective intensity is gross rainfall minus the φ-index: $3.5-1.5=2.0$ cm/h. Both values already have matching units.
