Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) C3S

Explanation

Tricalcium silicate, C3S, hydrates relatively rapidly and contributes much of the early strength of ordinary Portland cement. Its hydration also releases heat. Hence **C3S, B**. C3A reacts very rapidly but gypsum regulates that reaction; it is not the principal strength-producing compound in this comparison.
