In double-sideband full-carrier AM, if modulation index doubles, by what factor does the ratio of total sideband power to carrier power increase?

Correct answer: 3.95 to 4.05
Explanation
For conventional full-carrier single-tone AM, total sideband power divided by carrier power is µ²/2. Replacing µby2µchanges this to4µ²/2, so the ratio increases by a factor **4**. This assumes the ordinary AM model without clipping or overmodulation distortion.
