Useful soil-reaction forces on a tractor-drawn mouldboard plough are2.0,.9,.6 kN longitudinal, transverse, vertical. Soil–metal friction angle25°. Ignore implement weight and vertical reaction effects. Find estimated draft in N, to one decimal.

Explanation
The intended draft adds friction associated with transverse reaction to the useful longitudinal component: $D=2000+900\tan25^\circ=2419.6769$ N. Thus **2419.7 N**. The vertical .6 kN component is expressly neglected, so it should not be included in the frictional normal load.
