A solar panel is 1.3×.65 m;cells cover90%,conversion efficiency13.7%,irradiance750 W/m². At maximum power, voltage18 V. Two identical panels in series power a thresher. Find current in A.

Correct answer: (C) 4.34
Explanation
One-panel output power=1.3(.65)(.90)(750)(.137)=78.14025 W. Current=P/V=78.14025/18=4.341125 A. Series connection doubles voltage and power but retains the same current. Thus **4.34 A, C**.
