Find nitrogen oxidation states in NH₄⁺,NO₂⁻ and NO, respectively.

Correct answer: (B) −3,+3,+2

Explanation

Use H=+1 and O=−2. In NH₄⁺,N+4=+1,so N=−3. In NO₂⁻,N−4=−1,so N=+3. In NO, N−2=0,so N=+2. Thus **−3,+3,+2,B**.
