Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) Rs. 30,000

Explanation

For 100 ordered salaries, the median is the average of the 50th and 51st observations. The first 45 salaries are Rs. 20,000; positions 46 through 70 are Rs. 30,000. Both central observations are therefore Rs. 30,000, so the median is Rs. 30,000, B.
