Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) It does not maintain virtual-memory state per thread.

Explanation

Threads in one process share its virtual address space and associated mapping state. They still need separate stacks, register contexts and scheduling information. Thus virtual-memory state is managed at process scope, making C the intended distinction.
