Correct answer: (D) 20000

Explanation

A minimum frame takes 1250×8/10⁸ seconds=100 microseconds to transmit. Collision detection requires that this cover the round-trip propagation delay, so one-way delay is fifty microseconds at the minimum. Speed is 1 km/(50×10⁻⁶ s)=20000 km/s, D.
