Show answer and explanation Correct answer: 6.3 to 6.9
Explanation Write x=u cos30° t=6 and vertical displacement −2=u sin30° t−(10/2)t². Eliminating t gives −2=6tan30°−10×36/[2u²cos²30°]. Thus u²=360/[2cos²30°(2+6tan30°)]≈43.92, giving u≈6.63 m/s. Rounded answer is 6.6 m/s.
