Correct answer: (D) 1/4

Explanation

Each die has three even faces among six, so its probability of an even outcome is one half. Independent rolls both being even have probability (1/2)×(1/2)=1/4. Alternatively nine of thirty-six ordered outcomes qualify. Thus D.
