Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) Mr. X is taller than Mr. Y.

Explanation

For the vertical height of a person, the appropriate adjective is “tall.” Its comparative form is “taller.” Since six feet exceeds five feet, Mr. X is taller than Mr. Y. “Longer,” “elongated” and “lengthier” do not express the intended comparison of standing height. Thus **C**.
