Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) 7.5°

Explanation

At 3:15 the minute hand is at 90° from twelve. The hour hand has advanced from 90° by 15×0.5°=7.5°. Their separation is therefore 7.5°, B. The hour hand does not remain fixed at three while the minute hand moves.
