Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) Inhibited salivation; (B) Increased heart rate; (C) Inhibited digestion

Explanation

Sympathetic activation prepares the body for action: heart rate rises and digestive activity and salivation decrease. Thus A,B,C fit the standard pattern. Pupils generally dilate rather than constrict, so D is excluded. These coordinated changes redirect resources toward immediate activity.
