A wheelchair ramp has 1:12 slope and must rise 900 mm. Provide a 1.5 m intermediate landing after every 9 m run. Find total straight-ramp running length including intermediate landing, in metres to two decimals.

Explanation
Rise is 0.9 m, requiring horizontal sloping-run projection 12×0.9=10.8 m. This exceeds 9 m once, so add one 1.5 m intermediate landing. Total horizontal running length is 12.30 m. If actual inclined surface length is used, it is√(10.8²+0.9²)+1.5≈12.34 m; both conventions lie within the official range.
