Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: -2.20 to -1.50 OR 1.50 to 2.20

Explanation

Use TSI=0.745tg+0.308tw−2.06√v+0.841. The two temperatures stay fixed, so the decrease is 2.06(√3−√0.5)=2.11138°C, or 2.11°C. As a signed change, final minus initial is−2.11°C. The final key explicitly accepts either sign in its two disjoint intervals, which are preserved for grading.
