Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (B) (ii)
Explanation
The row counts must be 3, 1, 2, and 2, and each column must have exactly 2 shaded cells. Among the given options, only grid (ii) satisfies all these row and column constraints. Grid (i) already fails because its second row has 2 shaded cells instead of 1. Therefore, option (B) is correct.
