Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) Statement I alone is sufficient, but statement II alone is not sufficient.

Explanation

The number of steps equals the total height divided by the height of one step. Statement I gives the step height, so $9 \div \frac{3}{4} = 12$ steps. Statement II is about width, which does not affect the number of steps, so I alone is sufficient.
