Consider a $3 \times 3$ matrix with every element being equal to 1. Its only non-zero eigenvalue is ________.

Explanation
The matrix has rank 1, so two of its eigenvalues are 0. The sum of the eigenvalues equals the trace, which is $1 + 1 + 1 = 3$, so the remaining eigenvalue is 3.
