Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) Softening point is measured in the units of time

Explanation

Penetration is measured in tenths of a millimetre, and ductility is the length in centimetres to which a bitumen briquette stretches before it breaks. Softening point is found with the ring and ball apparatus, but it is the temperature at which the bitumen softens, so it is measured in degrees Celsius and not in units of time. Statement C is false.
