Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) P = Magnanimous; Q = Vindictive

Explanation

Charity is an act that comes from a generous, noble spirit (magnanimity), and retaliation is an act that comes from a wish for revenge (a vindictive spirit). In each pair the second word names the attitude behind the act. "Parsimonious" means stingy, the opposite of charity, "amicable" means friendly and does not describe retaliation, and "resentful" is unrelated to charity.
