Correct answer: (C) $W_T=W_C$

Explanation

In a **single-spool** turbojet, the compressor and the turbine are mounted on the **same shaft**. The turbine drives the compressor, so at steady operation (neglecting mechanical losses and any accessory power) the power the turbine delivers to the shaft equals the power the compressor absorbs.

$$W_T=W_C .$$

The number of stages (2 turbine stages and 6 compressor stages) only changes how the total work is divided between stages. Each turbine stage does more work than each compressor stage absorbs, but the totals match. Answer **$W_T=W_C$** (C).
