Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) (i) is grammatically correct and (ii) is ambiguous

Explanation

In (i), **everybody** is grammatically singular, so **is prepared** is correct.

In (ii), the pronouns **his** and **he** could refer to either Babu or Danish. In particular, the sentence does not specify which person enjoys chess. It is therefore ambiguous even though it is grammatically possible. **Answer: C.**
