For the picture shown above, which one of the following is the correct picture representing reflection with respect to the mirror shown as the dotted line?

Correct answer: (A) Option A in the figure

Explanation

Reflection across the vertical dotted line reverses left and right while preserving height. The larger polygon therefore moves to the upper right and the smaller one to the lower left.

Reflect every shaded sector as well as the outline: the two adjacent sectors on the left become two adjacent sectors on the right. **Option A** reproduces both the relative positions and the shaded sectors.
