In a company, 35% of the employees drink coffee, 40% drink tea and 10% drink both. What percentage drink neither tea nor coffee?

Explanation

Inclusion–exclusion gives $P(C\cup T)=35+40-10=65\%$. Subtract this union from the full workforce: $100-65=35\%$. **Answer: C.** The overlap must be counted once, not twice.
