If x is the mean of 3, x, 2 and 4, find their mode.

Correct answer: 3 to 3

Explanation

The mean equation is $x=(3+x+2+4)/4$, so $3x=9$ and $x=3$. The data become 3, 3, 2, 4. Hence **mode = 3**.
