Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) 30 mm

Explanation

Nominal cover is measured to the outermost reinforcement, the stirrup. Subtract the main-bar radius and stirrup diameter from its centre distance: $50-16/2-12=$ **30 mm, A**.
