Correct answer: (B) 50

Explanation

Let the quantity of T be $t$, and the quantity of P be $p$. The quantity constraint is $p+(4+3+2+1)t=250$, or $p+10t=250$.

The total revenue is $250\times60=15000$. Using the prices, $100p+(50\times4+40\times3+60\times2+60)t=15000$, so $100p+500t=15000$.

Substitute $p=250-10t$: $25000-500t=15000$, giving $t=20$ and $p=50$. Thus **50 items of P (B)** were sold.
