Correct answer: 130 to 140

Explanation

Principal in-plane stresses are $(110-50)/2\pm\sqrt{[(110+50)/2]^2+(-70)^2}=30\pm\sqrt{11300}$ MPa. The larger is 136.30 MPa, exceeding the out-of-plane principal stress zero. Answer: **136 MPa**.
