The resistance of a pure copper wire of length 10 cm and diameter 1 mm is to be measured. The most suitable method from amongst the choices given below is ________

  1. Two wire method
  2. Three wire method
  3. Four wire method
  4. Ellipsometry

Correct answer: (C) Four wire method

Explanation

The short, thick copper wire has very small resistance. Separate current and voltage leads exclude current-lead/contact drops from the measured voltage. The **four-wire method, C** is therefore most suitable.
