A piezoresistive pressure sensor has sensitivity 1 (mV/V)/kPa and DC excitation 10 V. Its output is read using a 3½-digit digital multimeter on the 200 mV full-scale range. The pressure resolution is ______ Pa.

Correct answer: 10 to 10
Explanation
At 10-V excitation the sensor gives 10 mV/kPa. A 3½-digit 200-mV range resolves 0.1 mV.
Hence Δp=0.1/10 kPa=0.01 kPa=**10 Pa**. Resolution depends on the smallest display increment, not the full-scale voltage.
