Correct answer: (C) Q and R

Explanation

In the conventional soil-testing framework, B ranges from 0 for a dry/compressible pore-fluid system to approximately 1 for saturated soil. A depends on soil response: it can be negative for dilation or exceed 1 for strong contraction. Thus Q and R are correct (C).
