Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) Modular units targeting dissolved organics and salts are required

Explanation

Aged leachate contains dissolved salts and often poorly biodegradable dissolved organics. Settling or microfiltration alone cannot remove those dissolved constituents; biology alone also cannot remove salts adequately. A treatment train selected for these different fractions is needed, making **B** the supported choice.
