Correct answer: (C) (iii)

Explanation

The black part in Panel I fills the square PQRS except for one connected white region. That white region is the other part, because the two parts together make up the whole square.

Read the white region as a shape:
- a top row with one cell at the left and two cells at the right;
- below it, a bar of four cells;
- a single-cell stem under the third cell of that bar;
- at the bottom, a bar of three cells that ends at the stem and runs to the left.

Comparing with Panel II:
- Option (iii) has exactly this shape in the same orientation.
- Option (i) has a four-cell bottom bar that runs one cell past the stem.
- Option (ii) has a bottom bar centred on the stem instead of ending at it.
- Option (iv) has a two-cell-wide stem and a shorter, shifted bottom bar.

Therefore, option (iii) is correct.
