Correct answer: (A) low-pass filter

Explanation

The inverting amplifier has feedback impedance $Z_f=R_2\parallel1/(sC)=R_2/(1+sR_2C)$. Its gain is $-Z_f/R_1$.

At low frequency its magnitude approaches R2/R1. At high frequency the capacitor shorts the feedback impedance and the gain tends to zero. Thus it passes low frequencies and attenuates high ones: **low-pass, A**.
